The relationship between organizational trust and organizational justice components and their role in job involvement in education

Abstract:

The main purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between organizational trust and organizational justice components and their role on job involvement. The method of this research is descriptive and co-relational, and the statistical sample contains 350 employees and managers of education in Meybod and Ardakan (Yazd). Data collected by Moorman's (1999) organizational justice questionnaire (OJQ), Ruder's (2003) trust organizational (TOQ) and Kanungo's (1982) job involvement questionnaire (JIQ). Regression and correlation analysis applied on data. Results of study shows that organizational justice influences on organizational trust and organizational trust plays a role as a mediator variable in the relationship between organizational justice and job involvement. Distributive and procedural justices have significantly relationship with trust in organization and interactional justice had a significantly relationship with trust in supervisor. Employers can realize that when employees perceive justice in organization, trust will be stimulate in employees and managers and they will be involved in job and organization; that finally it will cause desirable organizational outcomes. Contribution of this study is that organizational justice is the better anticipator for organizational trust than its opposite state; and Job involvement is a function of organizational factors (justice & trust) rather than individual characteristics.
